Sri Chamundeshwari College of Nursing, Channapatna Report on Lamp Lighting Program in ACS Auditorium on 09-04-2025 The lamp lighting ceremony, a revered tradition in nursing, was held to honor and welcome the fresh batch (2024-25) of B.Sc. Nursing students at Sri Chamundeshwari Nursing College on 09/04/25. This significant event marks the beginning of their journey into the noble profession of nursing. Following the welcome address given by Mrs. Seema, a spiritual invocation was rendered, creating a serene and respectful atmosphere. The lamp lighting ceremony was then initiated by the Chief Guest, Dr.K Mallu. He is a Registrar of Karnataka Nursing Council.Dr. Praveen, Dr. Nanjaraju and Dr. Roshan also joined this event.The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt welcome address by the Principal, Mrs Ashwini K M, who emphasized the importance of compassion, dedication, and continuous learning in the nursing profession. She expressed her pride in the new batch and encouraged them to uphold the legacy of excellence in patient care.

The highlight of the ceremony was the oath-taking segment. The new students, dressed in their uniforms, stood solemnly with candles in hand. Led by Principal Ms. Ashwini K M, they recited the Nightingale Pledge, vowing to practice their profession faithfully and uphold the highest standards of care and ethics. Dr. K Mallu, Dr.Praveen and Principal Mrs. Ashwini K M delivered an inspirational speech, sharing his experiences and insights from his and her illustrious career in nursing. The ceremony also included the felicitation of distinguished token of appreciation were presented as a gesture of gratitude and respect. To add a touch of celebration and joy, a cultural program was organized, featuring performances by the Faculty of Sri Chamundeshwari College of Nursing. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Anusha . She expressed her gratitude to all the guests, students, and staff for their participation and support in making the event a success.
